Our inclusive culture
Our working culture reflects the world we want to see for young people
MORE POWERFUL TOGETHER
We aim to build an organisation where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.
By sharing power and championing inclusivity, we will embody the future we’re all working towards.
WHAT INCLUSION
MEANS TO US
Inclusion means creating a culture where everyone feels empowered to participate and contribute their unique talents.
It’s also about including voices that are traditionally underrepresented, or not listened to, in our work.
our shared goals
We ensure inclusion is built into our ways of working through:
Our Working Environment
Building a working environment where all colleagues feel a sense of belonging.
Our PARTNERSHIPS
Investing in leaders and organisations who share our vision and commitment to young people but have been historically overlooked and underfunded.
Our Approach
Building trust with our partners and target groups by sharing power, listening to each other, and embedding young people’s voices in everything we do.

TRACKING DIVERSITY
We are committed to inclusion across our team, Board and leadership. Our Nominations Committee is responsible for reviewing the composition of the Mission 44 Board and ensuring it has the skills, diversity of experience, and commitment necessary to support our mission. We are also developing an inclusive recruitment policy to ensure we welcome candidates with a wide range of perspectives and experiences.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES DATA
These graphs represent data collected voluntarily from our staff team in June 2024. As a new foundation, this was the first time we collected such data from our team, and we have used NCVO’s voluntary sector workforce data collected in December 2022 as a comparison. Data will be updated annually, and going forward be used to inform our recruitment plans and targets where appropriate, as well as to benchmark our progress in future years.
